Prof Trisha Peel recognised for breakthrough joint replacement antibiotic study

Professor Peel is an Infectious Diseases Clinician-Researcher and Deputy Director (Research) in the Department of Infectious Diseases, Monash University and Alfred Health. She leads the Australian Surgical Antibiotic Prophylaxis (ASAP) trial which looks at whether adding a second antibiotic at the time of surgery, in addition to a standard course, helps prevent infection.
